Thanks for the opportunity to share my company and experience with you. My career in the mortgage industry began back in 2003 with a direct lender. Within 11 months I was elevated to branch manager. Of the 250 branches this prior company occupied, my branch was among the top 3. Having tasted success and being an ambitious and fiercely competitive individual, I stepped out and opened my own mortgage brokerage covering all 50 states in 2006.

I bet you can see where this is heading, because shortly after I launched my company the Great Financial Crises (GFC) hit. This was a trying period for my business and all broker houses and lenders alike. Having gone through the GFC and coming out the other side on top I have learned a lot and pay this knowledge forward to my clients.

Despite the crash, my company survived. The key to surviving the crash was a quick pivot in downsizing payroll, cutting overhead, and decreasing territory coverage. These adjustments increased efficiency in loan closing speed, allowed me to offer the best pricing to my customers, formed a superior reputation with lenders, and moved Synergy into priority treatment with title and escrow companies.
